Spanish clairvoyant Aramís Fuster has revealed she is attracted to bullfighter José Ortega Cano, the widower of singer Rocío Jurado, and said she fantasises about going on a romantic date with him.
Fuster, once one of Spain's best-known fortune tellers and self-described as a leading figure in the country's esoteric world, is currently going through a difficult period in her life. She has almost no income to help her make ends meet, and her savings have gradually run out.
Living without water or electricity
Fuster now rents a flat in Barcelona that she says fails to meet basic living standards, a situation she attributes to an ongoing dispute with her landlord, who she says refuses to leave the property. She has shown on social media that she is without water and electricity, cannot eat properly and has to wash using buckets of water.
She says she has also suffered alleged assaults since April and has reported an attempted murder. She claims to know who is responsible but has declined to name the person publicly, saying she wants to avoid further reprisals.
Despite what she describes as an extreme situation, Fuster says she has not lost hope, not so much of seeing her living conditions improve but of finding love. She raised the subject herself, saying she feels attracted to Ortega Cano.
Fuster's attraction to Ortega Cano
Speaking to Europa Press, Fuster said Ortega Cano was a man she liked, adding that he also danced very well. She said he was a man she had always found attractive and that she liked bullfighting regardless of who disapproved. She said she was single and was not disrespecting anyone, adding that what she really liked about him was his bearing and the way he walked, which she described as having a very toreador-like gait.
Still, Fuster made clear she will not make the first move herself, saying she considers herself a traditional woman who likes to be courted.
She said the ball was in Ortega Cano's court, adding that he would have to ask her first because she would not turn up anywhere uninvited. She said it took nerve to show up somewhere like that, and that what remained to be seen was whether he found her attractive too. At this point, she suggested, even her crystal ball or tarot cards were not offering her a clear answer.
Health toll and family rift
Fuster said her fortune-telling abilities had not warned her of the ordeal she was going through, adding that she might have made different decisions had she known, given that the situation is now affecting her health. She said she was in a terrible state following the assault she suffered, that she had gone six months without water or electricity, washing with bottled water, and that she had lost four teeth, joking that she was now "the toothless witch."
Despite losing teeth, Fuster has not lost her trademark sense of humour or her appetite for making headlines, and she promised there was plenty more Aramís Fuster still to come, whether people liked it or not.
Her candid remarks are unlikely to please her children, with whom she says she has not spoken in a long time and who she says have shown no concern for her wellbeing. She said they had scorned her, disparaged her and disowned their own mother.
She has made her plan for revenge clear: her children will not see a single euro of her inheritance. She said she would do as she pleased with her own money, and that seeing what has been happening with magician Juan Tamariz's inheritance meant her own family would not fight over anything, because she would rather burn it first. She added that she was very strong, describing herself as a fighter, but said she would not wish what she is going through on anyone, warning that even the strongest eventually fall and offering, half-jokingly, to broadcast her own death live if anyone wanted to see it.
