Ariana Grande has debuted a new collarbone tattoo appearing to pay tribute to her rekindled romance with boyfriend Ricky Alvarez as she opened her London residency on Saturday.

The 33-year-old pop star revealed the dainty ink, which reads 'I do love you', on her left collarbone while performing the first show of her 10-day residency at the O2 arena in Greenwich, southeast London. The low-cut neckline of her concert attire left the fresh writing clearly visible to thousands of fans in attendance.

The design is nearly identical to a tattoo worn by Alvarez, who has the exact same phrase inked beside his collarbone. While Grande chose a delicate script, Alvarez wears the words in a larger, heavily shaded font. Alvarez previously shared a selfie on Instagram displaying his collarbone tattoo in July 2025.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Alvarez and representatives for Grande for comment.
Instagram confirmation and lyrics changes
The concert debut of the ink follows Grande going Instagram official with Alvarez earlier in the week. The singer shared romantic mirror selfies of the pair embracing, alongside a close-up image showing the words 'I do love you' handwritten in blue marker inside her journal.

Earlier this summer, Grande started hinting that she was rekindling her romance with her former backup dancer, whom she originally dated from 2015 to 2016, by changing up specific lyrics from her past songs at her shows.

Before reuniting with Alvarez, Grande was in a relationship with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater for three years. The pair announced their breakup earlier this year, following reports in June that they quietly called it quits several months earlier. Grande was also previously married to real estate agent Dalton Gomez, 31, for two years before they separated in early 2023.
London residency and tour finale
During her concert on Saturday, the first show of her London residency, Grande said she feels "overwhelmed" as she begins the final leg of her tour.
"Hi London. Oh, this is so overwhelming. Holy s***. Every single show that we do, it gets louder," she said in between songs. "But this by the far the loudest."
She later added: "As you know, London is our final stop on this tour. I want to say, I'm going to savor every single second of these last ten shows with you guys, and this is one of my favorite places in the world."

Two weeks earlier, Grande announced during her Chicago concert that she was stepping back from the spotlight to "set boundaries." Addressing her plans to withdraw from public life at the end of her concert tour in September, she told her fans that "human beings need a break sometimes."

Countryside retreat and health scrutiny
Prior to kicking off her London tour dates, Grande prepared for her performances by holing up in the Oxfordshire countryside with Alvarez. The couple appeared to have travelled on a first class commercial flight from New York to London together before heading for their countryside break.

Her secret countryside escape came on the heels of reports she has been struggling to deal with "ongoing scrutiny" over her appearance. According to The Sun, the songstress was spotted taking some downtime at private members' club Soho Farmhouse, where she spent time at the spa relaxing before her shows.
The announcement of her upcoming break has come amid a roiling online outcry over her new music video Petal, in which many fans expressed concern about her strikingly thin figure. Her schedule has been nonstop for the past five years as the star filmed both parts of Wicked, promoted the films, shot Focker-in-Law and released two albums, Eternal Sunshine and Petal, before beginning her tour.
Family plea and West End withdrawal
Grande will conclude her Eternal Sunshine Tour, which she noted would be her last one for a "long, long time," on September 1. Afterwards, the star intends to take a hiatus amid ongoing scrutiny and fan concern about her health.
It comes after a family insider exclusively told the Daily Mail that Grande's inner circle had "begged" her to take a "break" from her career.
The hiatus entailed her departure from a planned West End revival of the classic Stephen Sondheim musical Sunday in the Park with George, which would have reunited her with her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.
