The debut marks Grande's seventh album to reach number one on the United States chart, a feat she last accomplished with her 2024 album Eternal Sunshine. The massive sales volume also propelled the artist back to the top spot of the Billboard Artist 100 chart for an 18th time, returning her to the summit for the first time since April 2025.

All 12 tracks featured on Petal entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart simultaneously, with every single song securing a position inside the Top 40. The achievement represents an unprecedented personal record for Grande for a single tracking week.
The album's lead single, Hate That I Made You Love Me, experienced a major chart resurgence following the album release. The song previously reached number one upon its initial release before gradually losing momentum and falling to number eight. A massive wave of new streaming interest pushed the single back up from eighth place to the number two position.
Meanwhile, the title track Petal debuted at number four on the Hot 100. The entry added a 24th Top 10 hit to Grande's career tally at the time of its arrival, further strengthening her chart history.

With 11 new songs debuting on the chart alongside the album release, Grande expanded her career total from 99 to 110 Hot 100 entries, skipping the 100 mark entirely. The milestone makes her the fourth female artist and the 23rd musical act overall in global history to pass 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100.

Grande joins an exclusive group of female soloists who have accumulated 100 or more entries on the historic chart, alongside Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Beyoncé. Swift leads all women with 277 Hot 100 entries, followed by Minaj with 149, Grande with 110, and Beyoncé with 107.
The achievement places Grande in pop history alongside figures such as Lady Gaga and Janet Jackson. Out of her 110 career entries, 64 have reached the Top 40, 25 have reached the Top 10, and 10 have climbed all the way to number one.
