Ashton Kutcher, 48, stepped out with his wife Mila Kunis, 43, and their 11-year-old daughter, Wyatt, in Los Angeles on Saturday, nearly a year after he said his good looks had cost him acting roles.

The couple's nine-year-old son, Dimitri, was not with them for the outing.

Kutcher looked happy and healthy as he repped his Iowa hometown in a faded blue Cedar Rapids T-shirt, tucking a pair of reading glasses into the collar. He added a navy baseball cap, faded dark jeans and New Balance sneakers, and was clean-shaven. He carried a red and black lunch box over his shoulder.

The weekend outing comes nearly a year after the once-ripped star said his handsome looks had kept him from grittier acting roles.

Kutcher on How His Looks Affected His Career

Kutcher, who cemented his place in Hollywood with comedic roles, said he had lost opportunities because of his appearance. While promoting the FX series The Beauty at New York Comic Con in October 2025, he said: "I think every role you get, part of it is what you look like, right?"

"It's a very big part of what you're imbuing as the character," he explained. "And so, there are roles that I've gotten because of the way I look and there are roles that I haven't gotten because of the way I look."

According to an account from People, he added: "Sometimes it's frustrating." But speaking as a producer, he said he understood the calculation, explaining: "You're trying to tell a story with pictures, and the pictures need to create a feeling for the audience."

The comments echoed his earlier comedic breakout, including his role opposite Kunis in That '70s Show, which the pair began filming together in 1998.

The Beauty and Their Recent Appearances Together

Earlier this year, Kutcher starred as a tech billionaire in The Beauty, a Ryan Murphy show adapted from the comic book series of the same name. It debuted in January with 11 episodes and a star-studded cast that included Bella Hadid and Amelia Hamlin.

In January, Kutcher and Kunis made a rare red carpet appearance together at the 2026 Golden Globes, marking their first awards show outing as a couple in four years.

2023 Backlash Over Danny Masterson Letters

In September 2023, the couple were forced to respond to backlash after it emerged they had written character letters to the judge in the case of their former That '70s Show co-star Danny Masterson, who had been convicted of rape.

"We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson," Kutcher said in a short video posted to Instagram. "We support victims," Kunis added. "We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future." Comments on the post were disabled.

Critics quickly took to X to criticize what they called a "lawyered" apology. Journalist Yashar Ali wrote on the platform: "It's important to note that the letters weren't just character letters you'd write for a friend. The letters, which contained a great deal of Scientological phrasing, were intended to undermine the victims who were drugged by Danny."

Masterson, 50, was sentenced to 30 years to life after a jury found him guilty of raping two women in the early 2000s.
