Blanco told the Daily Mail she has managed to get toned abs with a simple new fitness routine that requires no gym.

"Twice a day I do a 15-minute workout, where I just go basic routines like sit-ups, push ups, leg lifts and jumping jacks," she said. "It's like what they do in the military every morning, just super basic boot camp style. No gym, no fancy equipment, no weights, no expensive instructors."

The star - who filmed a new cop drama in the US over the summer - told the Daily Mail that she has been able to get impressive abs with a new workout

She said she wanted something easy to keep up while traveling. "I wanted something incredibly easy because I travel so much so I needed something to do in a hotel room or in my trailer at work," she added.

Oxygen therapy and a new beauty routine

The Washington state native previously told the Daily Mail about another change to her routine: she paid $12,000 for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) in pursuit of a more youthful look.

'I wanted something incredible easy because I travel so much so I needed something to do in a hotel room or in my trailer at work,' added the thespian

"I was scared at first because it sounds so different, it is not exactly like getting an oxygen facial, it is much more intense," she said. "But my friends said to do it because it has so many positive effects, like improved tissue health and cognitive function, and now I look 10 years younger."

Blanco already made a splash in a Christophe Guillarmé dress at The Spiral premiere on September 7

During HBOT sessions, which typically last 60 to 90 minutes, patients breathe 100 percent oxygen at twice normal atmospheric pressure. According to Women's Health, the treatment can aid healing, reduce inflammation and improve circulation.

A standard course involves 20 to 40 sessions, typically five days a week for five to six weeks. A single private session usually costs between $100 and $350. Blanco had 40 sessions in total, putting her bill at around $12,000.

How the therapy is meant to work

"Everyone is like, what does it do exactly? They think it sounds silly, but it's not silly at all," said the Beverly Hills resident. "It promotes a younger appearance by increasing oxygen levels to tissues, which boosts collagen production, stimulates stem cell proliferation and reduces inflammation. These treatments reverse cellular aging and clear senescent 'zombie' cells."

"I know sounds weird, but it works. Now I have less fine lines, my skin is super elastic and I have more of a glow to my complexion," she added.

Asked whether she feels she looks better after the sessions, Blanco said yes. "I can tell the difference in my skin, it feels tighter, and I do feel good, but that may also be because I gave up sugar last month," said the Breaking The Mold author.

Cutting out sugar

"No more sugar in my coffee, no more chocolate after lunch and forget any fancy cocktails that are drenched in sugar like apple martinis," she said. "Of course, I will go back to sugar one day, but for the summer it's adios sweets! I want to look my best. Come winter, however, I am calling my old friend chocolate back up."

Reducing sugar intake is generally linked to health benefits including weight loss, improved heart health, a lower risk of type 2 diabetes and reduced inflammation.
