Britney Spears vowed to "find a new family" on Sunday in a series of emotional social media posts targeting her two sons, her ex-husband Kevin Federline and her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears.
In the messages shared with the more than 41 million followers on her Instagram page, the 44-year-old pop singer recounted several grievances against her relatives before deleting an initial post and publishing a second statement.

In the second post, Spears named Federline, 48, and Jamie Lynn Spears, 35, while detailing specific slights she said she endured during past family visits. She ended that message by writing, "I will find a new family!!!"
The Daily Mail reported that it reached out to representatives for Spears for further comment on the posts.
Accusations against Kevin Federline and Jamie Lynn Spears
Spears claimed in her follow-up post that her sister refused to let her hold her niece, Ivey, when the singer traveled to Louisiana for two-week visits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She also leveled accusations at Federline regarding the time she spent picking up their children at his home. "Kevin wouldn't let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house!!!" Spears wrote. "They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad!!!"

Spears and Federline, a former backup dancer, were married from 2004 until 2008 and were photographed together in Los Angeles in 2006. Jamie Lynn Spears is an actress and singer best known for starring in the Nickelodeon television series Zoey 101 and the Netflix drama Sweet Magnolias.
Claims about her sons and blurry vision
Earlier on Sunday, Spears shared a video in which she danced to the Chris Isaak song "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing" while wearing a one-piece black lingerie bodysuit.

The singer nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction in the black bodysuit during the routine.

Alongside the video, the "Oops!...I Did It Again" artist wrote a lengthy caption about eyesight, trust and her two sons, Sean, 21, and Jayden, 20. Spears, who was pictured with her sons at a 2017 Los Angeles Lakers basketball game, recalled taking both boys to have their eyes examined on "the same day" six years ago.

According to Spears, she and her sons all had their vision tested together, and the boys selected "Revenge of the Nerds glasses with HUGE BLACK LENS." However, she claimed the teenagers fabricated their need for eyewear.
Spears wrote that "they didn't even need glasses" because their "doctor said they had perfect vision, so they lied, and of course, I believe, and always wondered don't they want a cool pair for school???"
In the same deleted caption, the "...Baby One More Time" singer urged her followers to "always protect your heart and your eyes," describing the eyes as "the most exquisite windows to the soul!!!" She added, "Seeing is a blessing, although my left vision is blurry!!!"
While noting that she likes her own red reading glasses with "extremely tiny lens," Spears said she chose not to fix her "blurry vision" because she has been deeply hurt by what she has witnessed in her life. "I'd rather feel so I'm learning Braille at the moment and how to learn to trust again and remember intimacy as well!!!" she wrote, referring to the tactile reading and writing system used by people who are blind or visually impaired.
She also wrote in the post that "REAL ABUSIVE relationships can destroy a woman's heart."
Conservatorship battle and recent legal troubles
Spears, a Grammy-winning performer whose hits include "Toxic," "Till the World Ends" and "Hold Me Closer," has frequently used Instagram to air disputes with family members. Much of her past criticism has focused on her father, Jamie Spears, 74, who controlled her personal and financial affairs under a court-ordered conservatorship that lasted 13 years, from 2008 until its termination in 2021.
She also previously clashed in public with her sister over Jamie Lynn Spears's 2022 memoir, Things I Should Have Said, sending her a cease-and-desist letter over the book's contents.
The Sunday posts come after a turbulent period for the singer. In March, Spears was arrested for driving under the influence in Ventura County, California, and subsequently spent three weeks in a rehabilitation facility.
