Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz stepped out for ice cream in St Tropez just days before his estranged parents were seen strolling through the same French resort.

The aspiring chef, 27, and his 31-year-old actress wife enjoyed a treat from Barbarac as they wandered through town with Sir Elton John's husband, David Furnish, on Thursday.

Brooklyn and Nicola were also spotted browsing the rails inside French luxury fashion boutique Jacquemus, a brand favoured by his younger sister Harper Beckham.

Two days later, Brooklyn's parents, David and Victoria Beckham, were photographed hand in hand just a five minute walk away, passing sweet shop The Pirate's Candies before dining at Italian restaurant Cherry nearby.

Brooklyn dressed casually in a tight white t-shirt and black shorts, while Nicola wore a micro-miniskirt, cropped vest top and an Emilio Pucci bag, flashing an ankle tattoo reading "Elijah," meaning "The Lord is my God."

Brooklyn has skipped the Beckhams' annual summer getaway aboard the family's 16 million pound yacht for a second consecutive year after severing ties with his parents and siblings.

Brooklyn has made his feelings about his family clear since his statement in January

Instead he joined godfather Sir Elton John, 79, aboard the singer's yacht off the French coast, where on Saturday he and Nicola were seen chatting on deck with the star and Furnish, 63.

Meanwhile the Beckhams have been enjoying their own Mediterranean break with younger sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, daughter Harper, 15, and Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 25. Before arriving in St Tropez, Victoria and David visited parts of the Balearic Islands with Romeo aboard their luxury 16 million pound yacht, Seven.

The Beckhams and Sir Elton have been friends for more than 30 years, with David affectionately calling the musician "Uncle Elton" after the pair became friends during his football career.

While Elton stayed behind on the vessel, Brooklyn and Nicola were joined onshore by Furnish. As they returned to the boat, Nicola removed her heels and showed off her engagement ring.

The family rift

Victoria and David recently followed the World Cup around the United States with Romeo, Turnbull, Harper, Cruz and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30. Despite living in the US, Brooklyn has avoided all family outings.

In January, Brooklyn released a six-page statement denouncing his parents and declaring he was no longer part of "Brand Beckham." He claimed David and Victoria had controlled him for much of his life, attempted to drive a wedge between him and Nicola, and left him embarrassed when his mother danced inappropriately with him during the first dance at his wedding.

He has not publicly acknowledged any of his parents' birthdays or milestones since the rift began, around the time of David's 50th birthday celebrations, and did not share a post for Father's Day this year. It was previously reported that Brooklyn was furious that his parents had included him in a Father's Day post and wants them to leave him alone.

Shortly before Christmas last year, Brooklyn blocked his parents on Instagram, and his lawyers later wrote to the Beckhams' team requesting all communication be conducted through legal representatives. The Daily Mail contacted Brooklyn's representatives for comment at the time.

Backlash over DoorDash ad

Earlier this year, Brooklyn was accused of selling his family out for a big sum following the release of his two-part DoorDash commercial. Five months after declaring that he and Nicola wanted privacy, Brooklyn was branded classless by fans after collaborating with the food delivery firm on a sponsored video.

In the teaser clip released on June 15, Brooklyn smirks and says: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home... It's a long story." It has been taken as mocking towards his parents and profiting off their name, while friends of the Beckhams have said the pair are devastated and inconsolable by the advert.
