Model Brooks Nader has addressed viral photos showing her sunbathing topless in front of her parents during a family holiday in Sardinia, Italy.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, September 10, the 29-year-old model said she had a wonderful time on the vacation and was unbothered by public reactions to the images.
Asked about appearing without her bikini top, Nader explained that she did not care whether topless sunbathing was considered more conventional in Europe, noting that she comes from Louisiana.
Nader, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was vacationing in Sardinia, a Mediterranean island off the coast of Italy known for its luxury yachting destinations and scenic coastal resorts.
Upbringing and family reaction
Addressing her comfort with nudity, Nader said she grew up in a household with only girls. She explained that she and her sisters shared a very close relationship and were always comfortable being naked around one another.
Nader added that her father was not bothered by her choice of attire during the boat trip. She explained that her father does not see well and did not even notice, adding that he told her he did not care and jokingly noting that he has selective hearing and selective vision.
She said she was simply having a great time and was not thinking about anyone recording those moments, though she noted that her family liked the coverage and found it great.
Yacht footage and media coverage
Photographs obtained by international media outlets captured Nader alongside her mother, Holland, her father, Breaux, and her sister, Sarah Jane, during their Italian holiday. Video footage published by celebrity news website TMZ also showed the model on a luxury yacht wearing only white shorts.
The vacation footage attracted widespread attention online, with outlets including the New York Post reporting on the viral moment when she ditched her bikini top in front of her father.

The close dynamics of the Nader family were previously featured during the first season of their Hulu reality television series, Love Thy Nader.
Family members have regularly spoken in public about their close bond. Speaking to fashion publication The Daily Front Row in June 2024, Nader explained that not a second goes by during the day without the family being in constant communication, adding that they know so much about one another.
