Latin music star Camilo has entered YouTube's billion-views club after his hit single 'Vida de rico' passed one billion plays on his official channel.
The milestone arrives as the song approaches its sixth anniversary, following its original release on 21 September 2020.
When the Colombian singer first launched the track, he did not foresee the massive response it would generate. The romantic song, known for its uplifting lyrics and memorable melody, took several months to go viral before becoming a breakout success across Latin America and Spain.
The music video for the hit single was directed by his wife, Evaluna Montaner. It represents the second music video featuring Camilo to cross the one billion view threshold on the streaming platform.
He previously reached one billion views with 'Desconocidos', a collaboration with his brothers-in-law Mau y Ricky that also featured singer Manuel Turizo. That earlier release drew music industry attention to Camilo, though he required two more years to fully establish his solo footing with 'Vida de rico'.
