Actor Austin Majors, best known for his work on the series ‘New York Against Crime’ (1993-2005), has died at the age of 27. The young man lived in a homeless center and died there. Confirmation of his death was given by the Los Angeles State Medical Examiner’s Office.
Majors died last Saturday (2/11) of suspected fentanyl poisoning. An investigation is underway on the case.
Born in 1995, he started acting at just 4 years old and rose to prominence with the role of Theo Sipowicz, son of detective Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz), protagonist of the crime series “New York Against Crime” (NYPD Blue ), and is remained with the cast for seven consecutive seasons until his departure in 2004.
After her famous work, Austin made small appearances in series such as ‘Medical Call’ (1994) and ‘Desperate Housewives’ (2004). Her last television appearance was in the hilarious “How I Met Your Mother” in 2009.
Lack of work made him homeless.
Last week, the actor was photographed for an article in the “Los Angeles Daily News,” which discussed the region’s housing shortage. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was one of the officials who visited the Hilda Solis Care First Village homeless center, where the actor resided.
