The victim would be the 28-year-old model Abby Choi; the ex-husband is the prime suspect
A woman’s body was found quartered, with some parts cooked and stored inside a refrigerator, in Hong Kong. The discovery was made by the local police on Friday the 24th. The identity of the victim was revealed by the newspaper Southern China morning as Abby Choi, a 28-year-old model.
The main suspect in the crime is the ex-husband of the victim, who is on the run and has received a warrant for his arrest. The motivation for the crime may have been financial as the model and her ex-husband disputed a fortune of more than R$66 million. The ex-husband’s parents and brother were also arrested for alleged participation in the murder.
Second Daily star, only a few parts of Abby Choi’s body have been found. They were in a house rented by her former father-in-law in a Hong Kong neighborhood.
The identity card of the young woman and other personal effects were also found at the scene, as well as tools such as a chainsaw, gloves and masks. Police were unable to locate the victim’s head, torso or hands at the scene. The house has been expertly insulated.
The authorities are also investigating whether the crime took place at the residence or whether the body was transported to the site. Abby Choi was a model and had over 84,000 Instagram followers.
