Monica Iozzi recalls abusive appointments and reveals that she was attacked by her ex: ‘He hit me’

Monica Iozzi revealed that she was attacked by an ex-boyfriend in her 20s. The report was made in an interview with the Sorry Something podcast.

In the chat, the actress reflected toxic relationships and took the opportunity to share a warning for other women who may be going through what she has been through.

Monica explained that this affair happened while she was in college and pointed out some signs of abuse. “It lasted 3 years and it was an abusive relationship, with a really abusive guy,” she began.

“If you’re young and you’re hearing this, let the guy start checking anything, friends, skirt size… be careful,” she said.

“The first sign I got was that he didn’t want me to go out without a bra anymore…it went downhill, until the day he hit me. The first sign it needs to stop is yelling and punching the wall. The next punch is in the face,” he said.
