Bragarnik is best known to theatrical audiences. In the cinema, the’actress played a little, considering the stage her main vocation. She has spent her entire creative life on the theater stage. Gogol (later “Gogol Center”), whose troupe she joined in 1972.

Bragarnik remained l’leading actress of the theater under various artistic directors, although her collaboration with Kirill Serebrennikov began with a conflict. She took the new artistic director with hostility and he said that’he does’would not organize shows especially for her.
