Celebrity kids aren’t always born and raised in complete families. These celebrities gave birth or adopted knowing they would have to fend for themselves. And this choice is admirable!

After her divorce from Jesse James, the actress adopted a boy, Louis, and three years later, a girl, Layla. Despite the fact that everything is fine in Sandra’s personal life, she alone takes care of the children and makes decisions on her own.

Charlize Theron

The actress dreamed of adopting someone since childhood. In 2012, she adopted a baby named Jackson, and three years later, Augusta. In 2019, it became known that Jackson was a transgender girl and Charlize asked to use the correct pronoun for the eldest child.

Meg Ryan

The actress has a son and a daughter who are not her blood relatives. Meg considers her family complete and is raising the children on her own.

Mindy Kaling

In 2017, the actress gave birth to a daughter, Katherine, and in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, a son, Spencer. She carefully protects the family from curious paparazzi and does not divulge the name of the father (fathers?) of her children.

Sheryl Raven

The singer has two adopted children, Wyatt and Levy. They appeared after breaking up with athlete Lance Armstrong: Cheryl and Lance weren’t ready to start a family. And Crow herself is calm!

Kristin Davis

Charlotte from Sex and the City is a famous independent mom. She is proud of her daughter and not worried about the relationship, “because there is none”.
