Oscars: Remember the last Best Picture winners

The 95th edition of the oscar happens in this Sunday (12), and the category of The best movie is one of the most awaited by all to know movie took the figurine.

Coda: in the rhythm of the heart

Directed by Sian Heder, who also won in the adapted screenplay category, the drama about Ruby, a hearing teenager whose parents and brother are deaf, has most of its scenes in ASL, the American Sign Language. It won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2022.

Oscar – Nomadic Land

The plot tells the story of Fern, who lives as a nomad in his van, after the economic meltdown in rural Nevada. The title won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2021.

Parasite

First work not spoken in English to win the main trophy for best film in 2020, in the year of the pandemic. The South Korean production also won in the categories international film, direction by Bong Joon Ho, original screenplay, art direction and editing. The plot revolves around a family from Seoul who start living in hiding in the basement of a wealthy couple.

Oscar – Green Paper: The Guide

Based on a true story, the road movie tells the story of the relationship between the black pianist Don Shirley and his Italian-American chauffeur and bodyguard Tony Lip, hired to protect the musician during a tour in the South of the USA in the 60s.
