Keanu Reeves mourns death of ‘John Wick’ actor: ‘Heartbroken’

Lance Reddick has died at the age of 60. His body was found on Friday the 17th in California

Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski mourn the passing of actor Lance Reddick this Friday the 17th, at the age of 60. The three have worked together on all the films in the series. John Wickwhere Reddick played the character Charon, doorman of the Continental hotel.

In a statement, Keanu and Chad said they were “deeply saddened and heartbroken” at the loss of their beloved friend. “He was a perfect professional and a very fun person to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, their children, family and friends. We lovingly dedicate the film to his memory. He will be dearly missed.” .

Lionsgate studio, responsible for the action franchise, also mourned the actor’s death. “The World of”John Wick‘ wouldn’t be what it is without Lance Reddick and the unrivaled depth, unwavering charisma and humanity he brought to Charon. Lance leaves an unforgettable legacy and extremely impressive work, but we will always remember him as our kind and cheerful friend and Concierge. The cause of death has not been released so far, but police sources from the TMZ website point out that he appears to have died of natural causes. The actor took an active part in promoting the release of the fourth film by John Wick and there was also an interview scheduled to promote the film on the Kelly Clarkson show this Friday.

Apart from his film work, the actor has also appeared in several notable series, such as ounce, lost, Fringe AND Boschand will still be seen playing the Greek god Zeus in Percy Jackson and the Olympiansan unprecedented attraction on Disney+.

John Wick 4: Baba Yaga premieres next Thursday, the 23rd, in Brazil.
