We know that Princess Diana had 17 godchildren. When she died, they were between 2 and 15 years old. How did the godchildren of the “Queen of Human Hearts” grow up? We are talking about the most interesting fates.

Lady Edwina Snow, born in 1981
Edwina Snow is the daughter of the Duke of Westminster, who died a few years ago of a heart attack aged 64, leaving an estimated fortune of £9.35billion.
Edwina is a criminal justice lawyer advising the government. She devoted much of her time to prison reform. She decided to do it when she was working as a volunteer in a prison in Nepal. Since then she has been in over 50 prisons in the UK and overseas. Edwina also founded a charity that helps prisoners socialize after release. Diana’s goddaughter is married to TV presenter Dan Snow and they have three children.

Lady Alexandra Hooper (née Knatchbull), born 1982
Diana’s second goddaughter studied theology at Oxford and then earned another degree in international security at Georgetown, USA. She is now a Principal at FTI Consulting. Alexandra is also referred to as Prince William’s first childhood sweetheart. Moreover, it was her father Prince Charles, now King of Great Britain, who married her in 2016 with Thomas Hooper, the founder of the educational company Third Space Learning, since Alexandra’s father left her family in 2010 and had an affair on the side. True, it was officially announced that he could not accompany his daughter to the altar for health reasons.
Prince Philip of Greece, born in 1986
The youngest son of Greek King Constantine II and his wife Anna-Maria of Denmark was born in the famous Royal Hospital of St. Mary in London. And besides Diana, her godparents were the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, Duke Philip of Edinburgh, King Juan Carlos I of Spain, Duchess Elena of Lugo and Lady Penelope Knatchbull.
In 2020, the prince married Swiss businesswoman Nina Flohr. Philip works as a financial analyst in New York at Ortelius Capital, founded by his brother and Crown Prince of Greece Paul, whose godfather, by the way, is Britain’s Prince William.
Leonora Lonsdale, born in 1986
Leonora is the daughter of Laura Lonsdale, Diana’s school friend and one of her ladies-in-waiting.
Leonora became a filmmaker and one of her films, The Beast, starring Billie Piper, won Best Dramatic Short in the 2018 Cannes Film Festival “Voice of a Woman” competition. She also directed the film Black Dog , Red Dog with Whoopi Goldberg, Olivia Wilde and James Franco and the documentary Zion, about a cult in the Himalayas. Leonora is the director of the series Pale Horse and Dangerous Liaisons.
Diana’s goddaughter is married to film producer Jack Sidi.
Jake Warren, born in 1986
One of William and Harry’s closest friends and grandson of the 7th Earl of Carnarvon. Jake attended Ludgrove and Eton Preparatory Schools (as did the Princes).
With his father, he runs the Highclere stud farm, located near the family castle, location of the drama Downton Abbey.
Years ago, Tatler described him as “an idol who lives in the coolest house in Edinburgh and has the initials of all his best friends tattooed on his thigh”.
Warren is married to yoga instructor Zoe Stewart. Their daughter Zali was the youngest bridesmaid (then only two years old) at her godfather Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle.

Lady Mary Louise Wellesley, born in 1986
Mary Louise is the daughter of the 9th Duke of Wellington and the niece of Lady Jane Wellesley. Her aunt was Prince Charles’ girlfriend before Diana. He earned a degree in English at Oxford, then studied 15th century poetry for a doctorate.
However, Mary Louise also realized herself as a model, as she posed nude twice – once in the form of a mermaid – to portrait painter Howard Morgan.
George Frost, born in 1987
Son of late broadcaster Sir David Frost and Lady Carina, sister of the Duke of Norfolk, George was educated at Eton and Newcastle. He created his own brand of Jamaican-Barbadian rum, but is known for helping to raise £1.5million to set up a national screening service for the rare heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which his brother is died while jogging at the age of 31.
Daisy Soames, born in 1992
Sir Winston Churchill’s great-granddaughter was educated at Trinity College Dublin and later became a horse safari specialist and runs her own business in Kenya as a guide. In her social networks, Diana’s goddaughter posts photos of picturesque landscapes, and also tells subscribers about her unusual work.
Domenica Lawson, born in 1995
Domenica is the last goddaughter of the late princess. She was born to businesswoman and charity campaigner Rosa Monckton, Diana’s closest friend in her later years, and former Sunday Telegraph editor Dominic Lawson.
When Domenica was born with Down syndrome on June 1, 1995, Diana immediately offered to be her godmother. Domenica was educated in the service industry and works at Team Domenica, a Brighton cafe and learning center founded by Rosa to educate disabled young people.
