During her lifetime, Agatha Christie published more than 60 detective novels, 6 psychological novels and 19 collections of short stories. His books have been published in more than 4 billion copies and translated into more than 100 languages!

Yes, and in real life, Christie had a dashing detective story – when her first husband told her he was leaving for another, Agatha… vanished! The whole country was looking for a famous writer, and at that time she checked into a hotel under the name of her husband’s new lover and left frightening evidence – for example, she had abandoned her car, leaving a fur coat in it .

But what preceded these events in Christie’s life? How was his childhood?

The future writer was born on September 15, 1890 in the seaside resort of Torquay, in the southwest of England, and became the third child in the family. She had a sister, Margaret, also called “Madge”, and a brother, Louis.

The girl was educated at home and learned to read at the age of five. Agatha was very curious, but the usual childish pranks were not foreign to her. She loved animals, played with dolls and made imaginary friends with whom she shared secrets.

The fantasy developed generally distinguished the future writer. Even as a child, she wrote a captivating story about the struggle for inheritance between sisters: “the noble Lady Madge” and “the bloodthirsty Lady Agatha”. And although Agatha tried several other professions in her adult life, she eventually returned to her vocation, which became evident even in childhood – writing. We are all happy!
