Robert Knox was born in Kent on August 21, 1989. He started acting in films aged 11 – his first film work was a small role in the popular detective series Pure English Murder.

But the real success in the life of the young actor was an invitation to shoot in the film “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”, where he played Hogwarts student Marcus Belby. Robert’s career was about to reach a new level, as he immediately signed a contract for the next film in the series – “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”.

However, the plans were not destined to materialize. Robert did not even see the first film of the magic saga with his participation. Even before the tape premiered, he was stabbed to death in a street fight in London. Knox bravely rushed to defend his younger brother Jamie and received several injuries incompatible with life. It was 2008 and Rob was only 18 years old.

By a terrible coincidence, a friend from the actor’s rugby team had also been stabbed to death two weeks earlier.

Knox’s assassin, named Carl Bishop, was only two years older than him. In March 2009, the attacker was sentenced to life for killing Robert and maiming his friends. He has the right to review the case, but at the earliest after 20 years. He is currently serving a sentence.

Saved by Robert, Jamie confessed that for a long time he could not come to terms with his brother’s death. Even today, he thinks and talks about himself as if Rob were still somewhere. Jamie also decided to try her hand at acting, took part in several TV shows. And in 2022, Knox Jr. participated in the filming of a documentary dedicated to the memory of his brother.
