From provincial to diva: how Irina Shayk changed

Irina was born in a small mining town in the Chelyabinsk region. After leaving school, she moved to Chelyabinsk to study marketing at an economic college, where she was noticed by representatives of a local model agency. Irina became interested in modeling and decided to participate in the Chelyabinsk beauty contest, where she became the winner, after which she received an offer to become a professional model.

2007 was a really successful year for Irina – it was then that her successful international career began. Shayk became the face of lingerie brand Intimissimi and also starred in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. By the way, she was the first Russian model on the cover of the publication.

In 2010, Irina was already under close surveillance around the world. And the reason was not only in his professional success. It was in this year that the model began to meet the most popular football player in the world – Cristiano Ronaldo. The relationship will last five years.

Immediately after breaking up with Cristiano, a new love entered Irina’s life – Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper, from whom she gave birth to a daughter, Leia, in 2017. Although Irina and Bradley parted in 2019, they continue to communicate closely and often spend time together.

The relationship between the rapper and the model is still unclear. In 2021, they were seen together several times, Irina flew with Kanye to France, and long before that, West mentioned Shayk in his song, and she starred in one of his videos. The stars haven’t commented on rumors about the novel, but their relationship is clearly warm – somehow meeting backstage on the show, Irina and Kanye hugged tenderly.

Irina started out as a lingerie model, but over the years in the industry she has proven herself capable of working in the high fashion world. Today, Shayk is often invited to parades as part of Parisian couture week; famous designers like Ricardo Tisci and Donatella Versace consider her his muse.
