Marrone has the eye area affected after the cosmetic procedure, says the doctor

The sertanejo singer had to go to social networks to say that he had not reversed the blepharoplasty procedure, as has been pointed out

Singer Marrone underwent several cosmetic procedures in February of this year. At the time, he took the opportunity to say how good he felt about his looks. “When I look in the mirror, I say, ‘I’m fine,'” he said at the time. Among the surgeries, Bruno’s duo performed blepharoplasty, which aims to rejuvenate the appearance of the eyelids.

Recently some news reports have pointed out that the sertanejo has reversed the procedure – which he denies. “People say I’m in the hospital, it’s all lies, deception. It’s fake news. I’m fine with my people here,” he said in a video posted on Instagram stories. The statement was released after netizens criticized the result of the surgery, which seems to have left an “open” space for the singer’s eyes.

What happened to Brown?

According to plastic surgeon and professor Dr. Thiago Marra, a specialist in blepharoplasty, Marrone had an ectropion. “An ectropion is when there is an eversion of the lower lid region, and then the eye is a little open and unsightly looking. Sometimes the eye can have a little difficulty closing completely, it is a a bit watery,” they say. From the images circulating on the networks it was an open hypertrophy, but it was something very small and subtle, adds the expert.

According to the doctor, the condition can occur in any surgery, with any surgeon, and is a relatively common occurrence. “We have to be very careful that this doesn’t happen, but it can still happen eventually and it’s usually because sometimes a little more skin has come out than desired,” he explains.

Treatment to correct the problem should wait around 6 months and usually the condition subsides naturally with the help of massage. “But, in general, after a period of 6 months, a small surgery will be necessary to be able to redo and strengthen the lower tarsus region,” explains Thiago.

This fixation is done with the so-called canthopexy, which is a small angle on the side of the eye to strengthen the tarsus in the lower region, which tends to be a little softer. The surgeon also explains that as the patient ages, the region also suffers the impacts of time.
