Reynaldo Gianecchini explains controversial speech on the LGBT+ community: ‘I would never say I’m not part of it’

The actor said he was attacked on social media for a misunderstood comment

Rinaldo Gianecchini came under fire this week after a comment on the LGBT+ communitywhile participating in the program Conversation with Bial. At the time, the actor said he didn’t “write ‘I’m gay’ on his forehead.” Last Friday, the 15th, he used the Instagram to defend himself, making sure he is misunderstood.

“I would never say that I am not part of the LGBT+ community. I have always said that, at least, I am a sympathizer. I am one of those letters, I have already exposed, as far as possible, my fluid sexuality”, he began.

According to the actor, having already exposed the subject to the public, he believes it’s already “very implied,” that he’s not “watching from afar.” “I’m part of it. What I meant there is that the gay community, with all its characteristics, with its identities, it took me a while to get into it,” he pointed out.

Gianecchini stated that I have never been a member of the community out of fear. “Fear of being written on the forehead, fear of being attacked … a story just like in Brazil,” he explained.

He assured that he had no intention of offending anyone with his speech and felt the need to raise the issue on the social network due to the attacks. “I get attacked a lot by some people who don’t understand it, as if I’m a conservative who hasn’t seen the beauty of this community. In fact, I’m doing a piece that glorifies it, and I chose to do this piece,” he stressed.
