Shock, but not Bruce Willis: who was Demi Moore’s first husband, whom she cheated on

Demi was just 18 when she married musician Freddie Moore in 1981. They met two years earlier at a nightclub and Freddie, then 29, was married at the time. But this circumstance did not prevent his romance with 16-year-old Demi. Almost immediately, the lovers began to live together, and soon Moore filed for divorce and proposed to a new sweetheart. Demi, née Guynes, took her husband’s surname.

Freddie and Demi were inseparable. They were even able to work together. Freddie wrote the music and also had a small role in the 1982 horror film Parasite – the picture was Demi’s first film, where she got the female lead.

But in September 1984, Demi Moore filed for divorce from Moore. Freddie later said of her, “I have never met a woman with a more obsessive need to be loved.” But Demi, years later, admitted she had cheated on him on the eve of the wedding.

By a sad coincidence, the actress’s first husband also faced memory problems with age (a similar fate befell Bruce Willis later – he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. In 2014, Freddie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and for the past few years has been cared for by his third wife, Rena.

After a serious deterioration in his health due to a cerebral hemorrhage, Freddie Moore lived in a nursing home in Los Angeles until his death on August 25, 2022 at the age of 72.
