The first child of Daniel Radcliffe (“Lost City”) and Erin Darke (“Moonshine”) has already been born. The actor was seen walking his stroller in New York on Tuesday (4/25).
The couple met in 2012 on the set of the movie ‘Verses de Um Crime’ and started dating that same year. In an interview with People magazine in 2020, the actor said that the beginning of the relationship “is going to be a great story to tell my children one day.” In the film, Radcliffe played famed poet Allen Ginsberg, while Darke played a woman who shares a romantic encounter with him.
Together for over a decade, the pair have always maintained their relationship discreet, so much so that Darke only became aware of her pregnancy last month.
The eternal Harry Potter still said he wanted his children to grow up around movie sets. “A dream would be for them to walk into a film set and think, ‘I’d like to be in the art department. I’d like to be part of the production team,'” the actor explained to Newsweek in October 2022.
“Movie sets are beautiful places. I think a lot of times it can be great for kids. It’s the fame side that should be avoided at all costs,” the actor added.
Darke is a recurring actress in the series ‘Miracle Workers’ with Radcliffe. Her other credits include roles in the series ‘Moonshine’ and ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’, and in the films ‘Honors’ (2017) and ‘The Spotlight Is Not For Everyone’ (2016).
