Akinshina is a star, but where is the second? What happened to the young actress from the movie “Sisters”

It often happens that fateful roles are given to actors by chance, and not at all as planned. Someone accidentally caught the attention of the casting directors, someone made a mistake with the studio door and ended up on other samples. Was no exception to this acting statistic and Katya Gorina. The girl lived not far from Lenfilm, where the casting of the future film was taking place, and watched the queues of candidates who were queuing at the studio. But she did not decide to apply immediately – in the end, her grandmother advised her to try her luck.

During the tests, Katya made a big impression on the film crew and on Bodrov himself. He soon realized that in this dark-haired girl with a strict gaze with brown eyes he found his heroine. True, in the end Katya really had to look for him – during the casting she introduced herself as Rita and left the wrong phone number. But the assistants still managed to find the capricious girl.

So Katya Gorina got the role of Dina Murtazaeva, the younger sister of the heroine Akinshina. According to the plot, the two girls have to hide from bandits who have claims against Dina’s father, crime boss Alik.

When the film “Sisters” was released, Katya was only nine years old (she was born in 1992), but the charismatic girl immediately captivated the audience. Everyone believed that Gorina would enter the galaxy of young and promising actresses, but the girl, it seems, did not succumb to the temptations of fame at all.

In an interview, Gorina said that she dreamed of working as a cynologist, but did not consider acting to be a particularly useful profession. However, the girl did not deny that she would like to act in a film, but she did not want to wonder.

As a result, Katya starred in small serial roles, and then returned to normal teenage life. She graduated from a school with extensive study of German, lived in Germany for a year, where she studied on an exchange, and upon her return she entered the Institute of St. Petersburg Jewish Studies at the Faculty of Philology. In addition to German, Katya knows Hebrew, English and French.

Gorina also had experience at the Moscow cafe-theater Masterskaya in 2012, when she was 20 years old.

“We were preparing for shifts in the theater box, dragging trays up the narrow stairs from the third floor to the first, chatting in a hundred languages, working to the limit and dancing until we lost our pulse. , and I periodically slept in the back room above the auditorium,” Gorina recalled at the time.

In 2020, Gorina returns to the screens, playing journalist Oksana Gerasimenko in the TV series The Last Minister, but she still does not seek to actively develop her film career.

Now Gorina tries herself as a writer – in 2019 her first book Aeronautical Park was published. In addition, Katya writes articles, teaches literature and foreign languages, is engaged in translations and literary advice.

In recent years, Gorina has lived abroad: first in Berlin, then in Israel, and recently, together with her boyfriend named Rodion, she moved to Tbilisi.
