Flora Cruz took to social media to vent and said she was “afraid and ashamed” to expose herself
Influencer Flora Cruz, 20, took to social media to vent about being sexually harassed by a caregiver of her father, 64-year-old samba dancer Arlindo Cruz. The accusation was released by Instagram on the night of this Wednesday 26.
The young woman said she was approached by the man inside the house, and said she felt “fear and ashamed” to expose the situation, but wanted to use her voice to give visibility to a problem that could also affect others people, and asked the victims not to shut up.
Flora also said that she had already taken steps with her lawyers, and that she had decided to present the case to protect herself.

“Hi, unlike anything you’ve seen here, it hurts a lot to have to write this text. For the exposure, for what I’ve been through, for the fear, and to know that I was not and will not be the last woman to pass through this .
In the early hours of April 24, I was the victim of sexual harassment. I didn’t say anything before for security reasons. All the content you have seen here these days has been recorded and was part of a work programme.
I decided to go public with the situation, to protect myself and use my voice so that more women don’t remain silent. Me, inside the house, thinking I was safe, with someone who was there to take care of my father’s health.
I let my body be touched, without my authorization, with the justification that I was a doll and as a man it was very difficult to resist. Inside my house, in my room, where I should feel safe.
I am stating this situation as a safety measure and to use my voice as a warning. All legal matters are resolved by my lawyers.
It doesn’t matter what clothes you wear, or lack thereof, whether you’ve been drinking, whether you’re awake or asleep. No it is not. And the other’s body must not be touched without consent.
I’m scared, scared, ashamed that I have and need to expose myself like this, and there’s not much more to say. It is still very difficult to assimilate all this.
I thank the care and affection of my family, my friends and my team who have welcomed me at this moment. And I ask, with all my heart, that if you have been or are going through something similar, DO NOT SHUT UP.
