Don’t Repeat After The Idol: 5-Star Diets Best To Refuse

Don’t Repeat After The Idol: 5-Star Diets Best To Refuse

A lot of people want to look like their idols, and there’s nothing strange about that. You can buy, for example, the same bag as your favorite star, or the ink of his name. But following fashion trends is one thing, copying a lifestyle is another. So, for example, not all diets followed by stars are really effective and safe! British personal trainer Max Bridger explains why in detail.

1. Ketogenic diet

Tried: Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry

The basis of the keto diet is the minimal consumption of carbohydrates. If you limit their consumption, the body begins to burn fat for energy. This is not very helpful, as it can cause orthorexia – an eating disorder that requires the exclusion of certain foods or whole groups, in this case containing carbohydrates. In addition, the complete rejection of sugar can cause an irresistible craving for food, which is in no way associated with weight loss. “Also, this diet is very strict and the food in it is not the most delicious, so not everyone can achieve the result,” adds Max.

2. 5-2 Diet

Tried: Beyoncé

This diet is based on intermittent fasting, where you eat whatever you want for 5 days and the next 2 days – no more than 600 calories or even less. It is believed that it does not fit into most life schedules, but the main error is not even there. “First, the weight is very likely to come back when you stop dieting. Second, with this diet option, the metabolism slows down,” Bridger comments.

3. Cocktails instead of food

Tried: Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian

The essence of this diet is that instead of one or two meals you drink a protein shake from a special mixture. It seems fine, but a sharp decrease in the calorie content of the diet is bad for the metabolism, so instead of losing weight, you can gain more.

4. Juice Diet

Tried: Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba

Another popular diet to lose weight fast. The diet is assumed to consist of fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies. There is an effect, but it disappears quite quickly. In addition, the body does not receive many useful substances: vegetables and fruits are low in fat and protein, and dietary fiber is also lost when processing products into juices.

5. Detox tea

Tried: Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian

It is suggested to drink detox teas not in place of meals, but in addition to a healthy diet and exercise. They help reduce weight and eliminate harmful substances from the body, as they accelerate lipolysis (the conversion of fat into free fatty acids). But without reducing the calorie content of the diet, it does not make sense.

Obviously, the main problem with star diets is the inability to maintain the result. Instead of following these tips, Max suggests eating a diet of 80% healthy foods and 20% favorite foods, exercising 3-4 times a week, and trying to burn more fat. calories than you get, the achieved effect will last a long time.
