A month after her father, Jamie Foxx (“Django Unchained”), suffered a medical complication that required swift action, actress Corinne Foxx (“Deep Fear: The Second Strike”) has debunked rumors claiming that he is “on his last legs” and that the family is “preparing for the worst”.
Corinne clarified that, in fact, Jamie has been fine for quite some time. “My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks now, he’s recovering,” she said in an Instagram Stories post. “Actually, he was playing Pickleball yesterday!” she added.
In the text, he still criticizes the rumors. “Sad to see how the media [negativa] it spreads out of control,” he commented.
At the end of the message, Corinne even thanked fans for their concern. “Thank you for everyone’s prayers and support,” she said. And she concluded by saying that, soon, there will be news. “We also have an exciting job posting coming up next week!” she revealed.
Foxx was hospitalized in Atlanta, USA after a “medical complication” never detailed by his daughter or doctors. He was in town filming the Netflix comedy ‘Back in Action’ and reportedly fell ill after dealing with financial problems with his crew.
The 55-year-old actor and his daughter often work together, including on the TV show ‘Beat Shazam,’ which he hosts and produces on Fox.
