Preta Gil talks about ‘turnaround’ in treatment and shift to SP: ‘Healing process’

Singer Black Gil used the Instagram this Sunday, 14, to update his state of health. The artist told her, two weeks ago, she moved to St. Paul devote himself to the treatment of cancer. She was diagnosed with a bowel cancer in January.

“I think you’ve noticed that my life and my treatment have taken a turn: I’ve come to São Paulo,” he said. In the video, published during the Mother’s Daythe singer reflected on motherhood, in particular that of women undergoing cancer treatment.

Preta said that her mother, Sandra GadelhaI was in the Rio de Janeirowhile the son Francisco Gilgave a presentation at Campos do Jordao. She did, however, say she was “surrounded in love” at the date. “‘Motherhood’ is more than just giving birth, ‘motherhood’ is a state of mind,” she mused.

The singer wished a Happy Mother’s Day to moms undergoing cancer treatment. “It’s a day when we become sensitive. […] We are going through a healing process and it is not easy. It’s a very painful, very difficult process, but it strengthens us a lot,” she said.

Preta said the date is for mothers to “strengthen love.” “I am so grateful to everyone who forms this immense support network that I have. So, come on for us, may this Mother’s Day be a day of calm, comfort and love. […] We continue to fight, because that’s what mom is: we fight and we win,” he concluded.
