Millionaire wedding in the arts clan gathers the high society in a historic mansion

It had been a long time since São Paulo had seen such a grand wedding. On Saturday (20th), there was a congestion of socialites at the ceremony uniting Camila Yunes Guarita and Conrado Mesquita.

The spouses are consultants and entrepreneurs in the art market. She is the granddaughter of the legendary Jorge Yunes, one of the greatest collectors in Brazil. When he died in 2017, he left behind a collection of over 30,000 pieces. He, art dealer and gallery owner.

The party brought together around a thousand guests at the Yunes villa on an almost 8,000 square meter plot, with gardens designed by Burle Marx, in Jardim Europa, an upscale neighborhood in São Paulo.

The property became famous as ‘Casa da Manchete’, when it served as the family residence of Adolpho Bloch, founder of the extinct TV Manchete.

Artists, tycoons and politicians such as the then president Juscelino Kubitschek passed through it for parties and banquets.

In addition to occupying the halls of the mansion, the wedding organizers have built a transparent pyramid in the outdoor area to accommodate tables and chairs.

The buffet was provided by the gastronomic company L’Épicerie. A full menu with refined delicacies costs no less than R$1,000 per person.

During the religious ceremony and reception, Camila wore three dresses created by one of the most famous fashion designers in the country, Gloria Coelho.

Among the guests were traditional São Paulo families, plastic artists, media personalities and various influencers who were friends of the bride.

Between one glass of champagne and another, the majestic wedding was said to have cost 8 million reais. Minimal value compared to the legacy of the Yunes dynasty.
