Secret girl and affair with Rita Ora: what Dua Lipa’s new lover is hiding

Romain Gavras was born on July 4, 1981 in Paris to journalist Michel Ray-Gavras and director Costa-Gavras. He has a sister, Julie, and a brother, Alexandre.

Roman’s father won an Oscar for Best Screenplay for the 1982 film Missing, about two parents searching for their missing son in Chile.

Romain’s upbringing, apparently, was specific.

“I wasn’t allowed to watch Walt Disney when I was a kid. I still don’t watch it. I grew up listening to Greek myths or Greek tragedies. So instead of Snow White when I was growing up, there was a woman eating her children, or a man killing his father to marry his mother,” Gavras recalled in an interview.

Not much is known about the personal life of the newly chosen singer, however, in an interview, Romain said that he has a teenage daughter. From whom? Unknown.

“Don’t tell kids they’re special. I have a 13-year-old daughter and I always tell her, “It doesn’t exist. Life is work.” Don’t expect superpowers,” Gavras told the Guardian in September 2022.

In another interview, talking about modern cinema, he again mentions his daughter.

“My 13-year-old daughter immediately calculates the computer graphics, she says: ‘Fake fire’, ‘It’s a green screen,’ Gavras shared.

Although almost nothing is known of Romain’s previous relationships, Dua is not the director’s first star lover. In 2020, he dated another British singer, Rita Ora. Interestingly, both are of Kosovo descent.

Roman Gavras and Ora only lasted a few months. The reason for the breakup was too busy schedules. Rita has since married Taika Waititi.
