The Forbes edition has compiled the next ranking of the richest heirs of Russian billionaires. The only son of the founder and main shareholder of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, became the leader.

Yusuf Alekperov takes first place for the second year. His legacy this time was estimated at $20.5 billion. At the same time, Yusuf’s personal fortune, according to Forbes, is about 80 million dollars due to the fact that he owns 0.2% of Lukoil shares.

Yusuf was educated in the oil and gas industry and first joined the family business, and a luxurious office in the capital was not waiting for him. He started his career from menial positions and worked as a production operator in a field in Western Siberia. True, the son of the head of the company did not hesitate immediately and drove around Kogalym in a Mercedes.

But in 2018, he stopped working at Lukoil and started his own company in the field of oil services and transport.

The richest heir to Russia since childhood knew nothing about need. When he was born on June 20, 1990, his father was already Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas Industry of the USSR, and when Yusuf was two years old, his father founded Lukoil.

Yusuf was already married. In 2016, his wedding took place with Alisa Kolesnikova. Alekperov’s heir is a rather secretive person, so details about his family life did not appear. But in 2023 it became known that Yusuf was already divorced – it is unclear when and why the family broke up.
