Gabriella Di Grecco recalls her participation in ‘Accomplices of a rescue’

Currently rerun on SBT, the telenovela Accomplices in a rescue was a great success when it was first shown, and the phenomenon is repeated in all its retransmissions. But, apparently, the production has not only marked the life of those who watched it. Actress, singer and performer Gabriella DiGrecco she confesses that she is also smitten whenever she sees herself on screen, like Gemima in the storyline. Since her premiere in 2015, the story, starring Larissa Manoela, who plays the lead twins, has amassed new fans, captivating them with her twists and turns. However, it’s Gemima’s bizarre ways that add an extra dose of fun to the storyline.

With his tricks, the character brings a touch of unpredictability to the plot, always keeping viewers in anticipation of what he will do next. “What a pleasure to play Gemima in Cúmplices! At first I was invited by SBT to make a special appearance in some episodes. When I picked up the scenes to read, I immediately thought: ‘Guys, this character is not for some episodes , no!’ and, indeed, it wasn’t. Gemima fell in love with the fans and became a regular. I was very happy with the acceptance of the fans and the network, on the other hand, it wasn’t exactly a surprise, because Gemima is a character who is very rich in his storytelling,” the actress points out

According to Gabry, Gemina enters the plot by attending Pastor Augusto’s church and promptly comes between him and Flávia, a very strong vessel in the soap opera. “I remember Twitter going up in flames every time Gemima stepped in to jeopardize their relationship. Fans of the telenovela hated Gemima at first, then we see her journey to become a woman of her own opinion and live her freedom. She had a breakthrough when she left her church because she realized that she lived in dogmas or paradigms that she didn’t agree with. I remember that at that moment the fans began to love Gemima. She freed herself from a lifestyle that was not compatible with her heart and her spirit, and that she has nothing to do with religion, she has to do with listening to our heart. I think that’s what captivated the audience. Not to mention that Gemima is a fun character. The way she hit the male characters on the soap was hilarious. I also think this goofy side of her has captivated people, partnering with her to become a regular,” the redhead celebrates.

While the story is repeated on SBT, Gabriella Di Grecco continues to participate in other projects. One of the most recent works of her career is “O Coro: Sucesso, Aqui Vou Eu”, a production of Miguel Falabella for Disney +. In this work, the actress shines in the role of the villain Nora Labbra, once again demonstrating her artistic versatility and her commitment to bringing extraordinary characters to life.
