Joyce Hasselman caused controversy with a photo posted on Instagram this Thursday (15). It all started when the former federal deputy, who went through a weight loss processmade a post to advertise the “JH Protocol”, where promises to teach the techniques he used to lose weight.
In the photo, Joyce appears from the side, with the waist showing. However, the record passes the impression that the image has been distorted in an editing application. In comments to the publication, the journalist received sharp criticism from netizens.
“This Photoshop was done bad, huh? It’s out of proportion,” he shot an Internet user. “You need a better Photoshop editor,” another profile recommended. “How awful! People worry about perfection and forget that they are or look like a real person,” muses one follower. “Photo editing is captivating,” blew one girl.
After the backlash from the photo, Joice changed the caption of the publication and communicated her measures to those who accused her of manipulation of the image. “Before the gossips come and say ‘oh, it’s Photoshop’, take my measurements and proportion: waist 63 cm (I lost another 2 cm), hips 107 cm (I lost 3 cm), bust 98 cm. In an exclusive interview given to Purepeople, Joice commented on allegations that she had a tummy tuck. For the former congresswoman, many of these comments demeaning her process are the result of her envy.
“I don’t know to what extent this is a doubt of some people due to the transformation that my body has had, or if it is really envy, anguish. Say ‘no, I will try to make this person who is liking himself a little sadder, further down’, which will never happen to me again, because my self-esteem is at an all-time high. It’s wonderful, it’s very beautiful, thank you,” she said.
