Elusive similarity: what the daughter of the most beautiful and unfortunate European actress Romy Schneider looks like

Romy Schneider was one of the most important divas of European cinema with a brilliant but tragic destiny. And how was the life of his only daughter?

The main romance in Romy’s life was an affair with Alenon Delon. When they met, Romy was already a real star, and Delon was just a novice actor, although the Frenchman was three years older than the Austrian beauty.

But Romy started playing early. She was not even 15 when the producer invited her to play with her mother, the famous actress Magda Schneider, in the film When White Lilies Bloom. And when Romy was 17, she was approved for the role of Princess Elisabeth of Bavaria, nicknamed Sissi – a series of films about her would become a landmark and glorify the young actress throughout Europe.

Relations with Delon were passionate – Schneider called him “the man of her life”, but in the end they made Romy suffer a lot. Alain was not distinguished by fidelity. Everything collapsed when Romy learned from the newspapers of the existence of Alain’s mistress, Natalie Barthelemy, whom he soon married.

Schneider then married German director Harry Mayen. They had a son, David. But Romy could not forget Delon. As a result, her marriage fell apart. Then she tried to build personal happiness with her personal secretary Daniel Biazini, from whom she gave birth to a daughter, Sarah. But this marriage could not be saved.

The actress’s son, as you know, tragically passed away when he was just 14 years old. This completely paralyzed the actress. She tried to overcome the pain and loneliness with alcohol and antidepressants. On May 29, 1982, Romy’s heart stopped.

The memory of the mythical actress is preserved today by her daughter Sarah. In 2021, she presents the book “The beauty of the sky” on Schneider. She wrote it at 43, the age at which her mother died. Sarah also hosts retrospectives of her famous mom’s films.

Biazini continued the dynasty: like her grandmother and mother, she also became an actress. She first studied art and history at the Sorbonne in Paris, then performed at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in Los Angeles and the Actors Studio in New York. Today, Sarah plays at the theater in Paris, and also writes plays herself.
