The presenter Danilo Gentili won a lawsuit for moral damages brought by the deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL), in which the MP asked for compensation of R$ 44 thousand, claiming that he had been the subject of “defamatory, slanderous and abusive expressions”.

The justice denied Nikolas’ appeal, and did not consider a publication by Danilo, made in 2021 on social media, as moral damage. The presenter used terms like “tramp” and “playboyzinho” when referring to Nikolas, who was a councilor in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais at the time.

Justice understood that the offenses were mutual, as Nikolas called Danilo Gentili an “animal”.

On Twitter, Gentili celebrated the decision and used an expletive, addressing Nikolas directly. “Fuck you again, Nikolas Ferreira […] This is the guy who later appears outraged by leftist censorship. It is the one who says that Bolsonarismo defended freedom of expression. He sued me because I made fun of him and lost again.”

The federal deputy responded to the presenter’s provocation on Twitter. “For a person to vibrate so much for mere court costs that go to his lawyer – and not to him – there must be a lot without what to celebrate in his life. It hurts a little, but it’s over,” he wrote.
