Thaila Ayala describes ‘agony’ during heart surgery on her two-month-old daughter: ‘My world stopped’

Thaila said she was still “strong and confident” in the days leading up to the procedure. On the eve of the appointment, however, the actress said she felt “the desire to stop time”. “Thinking that night might be my last felt like the hours were crumbling and slipping through my fingers,” she said.

He said he counted on the help of faith to face the challenge. “If God’s will wasn’t mine, I knew he was by my side every second, I felt his tight hug, I heard his voice saying, ‘I’m here, I’m your father, you’re not powerless it is.’

The moment she entered surgery with Tereza, the actress described that “it was like everything was floating in a mass of agony, of despair.” “It was God who took her in her arms and left her on that stretcher, because I was never going to make it. I will never forget that little body on that huge stretcher,” she said.

Thaila said doctors allowed her to stay in position until the baby was anesthetized. She said that, to reassure her daughter, she sang Sly kittysong by Erasmus Charles. “I saw her eyes close. There, my world stopped. I literally had to be taken out of the room, it was impossible to leave her there. And those were the densest hours in history,” she wrote.

The actress also reported feeling after receiving news that the surgery was successful. “The dimension of gratitude is bigger than ourselves. It’s too beautiful. I wish I could live forever with that dimension of gratitude in my chest.”

Thaila has received support from several followers and peers in the comments, including her husband. “We won. Thank you for being the incredible woman, partner and mother you are. I love you,” wrote Renato Góes.
