In the final of the men’s final of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, there was a sensation: the titled Novak Djokovic, after a five-hour fight, lost to 20-year-old Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. Meet the newest tennis star (and her personal life).
Carlos was born on May 5, 2003 in the small town of El Palmar in southeastern Spain to a large family – he has brothers Alvaro, Sergio and Jaime. The father of the family himself was a tennis player in his youth and held a tennis school, so Carlos started this sport when he was four years old.
Already at the age of 12, the budding boy was picked up by an agent, and three years later he joined the Equelite JC Ferrero sports academy of Juan Carlos Ferrero. Ferrero, former winner of Roland Garros, has since been the coach of Alcaraz.
