The actor was hospitalized in April after suffering an undisclosed medical complication.

The actor and musician Jamie Foxx spoke for the first time about the time when he was hospitalised and confirmed the seriousness of the situation. In a video shared on Instagram this Saturday the 22nd he confessed that the experience was “hellish”.




Excited, Foxx said, “I’ve been through something I thought I’d never go through. I know a lot of people were waiting or wanted to hear an update, but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me as that man,” he admitted to his 16 million followers on the social network.

He continued, “I want you to see me laughing, having fun, partying, telling a joke, doing a movie or a TV show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes coming out of me and trying to figure out if I would survive.”

The actor did not reveal the diagnosis, but said he was “on the road to recovery” and stressed that his sister and daughter saved his life. “Thanks to them, God and many great doctors, I’m able to make this video for you,” the actor said.

“I can’t tell you how great it is to have family participating like this. You know they kept everything safe, they didn’t let anything slip, they protected me, and that’s what I hope everyone can have in times like these. But I come back and I can work,” she added.

Jamie Foxx also wanted to prove that his eyes are not paralyzed, as some indiscretions pointed out in his and his family’s silence during the period of mysterious shelter.

“As you can see, the eyes work, the eyes work very well. I’m not crippled, but I’ve been to hell and back, and my road to recovery also had holes. But I’m coming back and I’m able to work,” he confessed. “I love everyone and I love all the love I’ve received,” she concluded.

“Thanks so much everyone…it’s been a long road but all the prayers, great people and God have helped me,” the star captioned the video.

After a medical complication on the set of Back in action, in early April, Jamie Foxx was hospitalized for weeks. The situation was so bad that the family was rushed to the hospital.

In May, the actor’s daughter spoke publicly about the relationship, amid reports that Foxx had gotten worse. She said the father would have been discharged and was at home recovering.
