The comedy series “My Fair Nanny” was broadcast on Russian television from 2004 to 2009. The actress admitted that she experienced a real shock – she was successful, famous, earned a lot of money and just planned to enjoy the benefits of fame and at the same time recover from a difficult divorce. The diagnosis literally shattered all his plans.

For two years, Drescher sought help, and in the end the treatment helped – the tumor was removed, the actress went into stable remission. Fran has published an autobiographical book whose title can be translated as “Rak-shmak”: she tells in detail her story of battling the disease. Now, the 61-year-old actress supports the work of a foundation that helps women facing cancer. She was also elected president of the actors and screenwriters union SAG-AFTRA – the very one that is now on strike, demanding better working conditions and pay.

Alas, Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, diagnosed with cancer in 2019, 10 years after the finale of the show that made her famous, continues to fight. The actress has glioblastoma, a brain tumor. For several years, Zavorotnyuk did not appear in public: cancer completely changed the life of her family. Figure skater Pyotr Chernyshev, Zavorotnyuk’s husband, finds it increasingly difficult to provide treatment and life for Anastasia, but he does not give up. And fans believe that a miracle will happen and their favorite actress will overcome this terrible ordeal.
