You will be surprised, but this scene was not in the screenplay of “Harry Potter” – it was invented by small actors

We seem to know the Harry Potter movies by heart, but the amazing facts about the set don’t stop there.

Fans of the literary original often scold the directors for taking liberties in the film adaptations. But sometimes improvisations arise on set that only enhance the story. So it happened on the set of the movie “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”.

You remember very well that there is a funny scene at the end. In the common room, Dumbledore says good things about Hagrid’s return to Hogwarts, all the students stand and applaud – except for the Slytherins. But one of them, Crabbe, also gets up and starts clapping, but Draco Malfoy abruptly stops him.

Turns out that scene wasn’t even in the script. Actor Jamie Waylett forgot he wasn’t allowed to stand up. So Tom Felton tugged at his sleeve so as not to spoil the scene.

This is how two small actors improvised and gave the film one of the most characteristic and memorable scenes.
