After commenting on his controversial relationship with money, the singer Philip Ret, 38, has revealed that he has evolved a lot since taking the reins of his career. In the beginning he was an uncle to handle everything, which, at some point, no longer seemed feasible.
“There was a time when my security guard lent me his gun and took some cocaine for me. On my team, there were people who were addicted to marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol and sex. It was crazy. To become a professional, I fired my uncle who was the office manager because he lowered his salary a lot, prostituting the business. I reviewed the whole supply chain to be here today,” he said Philip Retin an interview with Harper’s Bazaar aired this Wednesday 23rd.
The singer also commented on his relationship with the drink. At one point he defined that he would go on stage only sober, without the influence of any substance.
“I was talking to a friend the other day about the history of the stage’s association with drugs and alcohol. I think it has to do with the idea of it being something viceral, of making the most of the situation. For a Per I believed in it for a long time and did shows based on drinking, but it’s something destructible. I decided to perform sober and found that I could be there directly; that I didn’t need to drink uncontrollably to be social.”
