The comedian Eros Prado, who participated as a commentator on the sports broadcasts of the SBT, is no longer part of the station’s staff. This Wednesday, the 23rd, SBT confirmed the decision to Terra, but reiterated that Prado was not hired by the broadcaster. On Tuesday 22, he joked about the death of the father of Corinthians player Gustavo Silva.
The negative repercussions of the comedian’s speech led to his departure from SBT. During the broadcast of the match between Timão and Estudiantes, from Argentina, the narrator Diguinho Coruja said that the player, known as Mosquito, was going through a delicate personal phase after the death of his father in 2021, a victim of covid-19. Eros Prado said the striker had “kicked the ball there for his father” when he missed the shot.

The player was outraged by the speech after the game. “A commentator thinks he can make any comment he wants against a player. I was wrong, I couldn’t be wrong, I charge a lot, nothing justifies my mistake. I still feel it today, I don’t know.” Don’t accept it.”
On Instagram, the athlete tagged the SBT Sports profile, asking for more respect. “Jokes have their limits. Nothing justifies missing a goal today, but I don’t accept those kinds of comments. Such disrespect! You think you can say what you want. I hope it never happens to you.”
After the episode, Eros Prado apologized in videos on social networks. “I want to sincerely apologize to the player Mosquito, from Corinthians. I ended up making a joke in bad taste during the match broadcast,” he said.
He went on to say that he also lost his father. “Early in the game, I ended up making a joke about my father. My father is deceased. During the game, I ended up making a joke in very bad taste, and Mosquito’s father is also deceased. Anyone who knows me knows that that I don’t do this. that kind of jokes. I make fifth grade jokes to make people happy.”
“I know the pain it means to lose a father, I miss my father to this day. I’m not that kind of person to offend, touch that spot in people. Mosquito, I ask you to forgive me. From the bottom of my heart,” she added.
To the Earth, SBT regretted the commentator’s speech and claimed that he was not hired by the broadcaster. “SBT regrets the comment made by comedian Eros Prado and informs that he is no longer part of our commentary team. We apologize to Gustavo Silva (Mosquito), his family, the Corinthians fans and all those who may have felt offended. Eros Prado is not employed by the house, he has always come as a guest. It’s been a long time since he’s been on the house show.”
