The life of MC Marcinho, who passed away this Saturday 26, was marked by successes and health problems. In 2006, the van in which the musician was involved in a collision with a bus. The crash killed two people and caused the funk singer to be hospitalized for 8 months.

In February 2021, he ended up in a coma for four days due to a bacterial infection in his left foot. The disease reached his lungs and he spent three months in the hospital.

According to a medical bulletin issued by the Copa D’Or, in Copacabana, MC Marcinho was hospitalized on June 27, 2023. On July 10 of this year he had to be intubated due to cardiorespiratory arrest.

On July 13, the funk singer underwent surgery to implant an artificial heart. Six days later, on July 19, the hospital informed that “Patient Márcio André Nepomuceno Garcia remains stable, breathing without the aid of devices (mechanical ventilation), still requiring intensive care, but without episodes in the last 24 hours and with a favorable trend”.

More than a month later, on August 22, the artist had a “worsening of clinical condition over the past 72 hours” and was still in intensive care, according to the hospital. MC Marcinho’s family has asked, through social media, that blood donations be made in the singer’s name.

Last Friday, August 25, the singer presented a deterioration in his health and was in serious condition after being diagnosed with sepsis, a generalized infection. The complication of the infection led to MC Marcinho being suspended from the queue for a heart transplant. In the end he didn’t resist and died this Saturday.
