Two marriages and deaths: what happened to Prince Harry’s former lovers

Although Harry’s youth was rocky, he didn’t have many lovers before his marriage.

The prince’s first official girlfriend was Chelsea Davey, daughter of safari company owner Charles Davey and beauty pageant winner Beverly Donald. She had known Harry since childhood: they studied at nearby schools, but they met from 2004 to July 2010. The romance began after meeting in South Africa, where Harry arrived on a mission for a charity, and Chelsea went on to study at the University of Cape Town. The relationship between the young people was like a roller coaster – either take off or fail. During their romance, they converged and diverged again. Another breakup happened after Harry returned from service in Afghanistan in 2009. However, Chelsea and Harry got back together and the prince even invited the girl to his brother’s wedding in 2011. That’s when that Chelsea decided to end it – she said that she herself was not ready to become the prince’s bride.

Today, Chelsea is married to hotelier Sam Cutmore-Scott and gave birth to their son Leo in early 2022.

In 2009, when Harry broke up again with Chelsea, he had a short-lived affair with famous British TV presenter Caroline Flack, who was five years older than him. However, the relationship quickly broke down when the press learned of the novel. It seemed that in the company of Caroline, Harry was only going to forget her after a new argument with Chelsea.

Flack’s personal life was then rocky – after equally short flings with Harry Styles, Sam Smith’s manager, Jack Street and reality show contestant Andrew Brady, she met tennis player Lewis Burton . The novel quickly turned into a real crime drama. Once Flack attacked her boyfriend, suspecting him of infidelity, and announced that she would kill herself. Later, the TV star did not admit her guilt, but she kept her terrible promise – shortly before the trial she committed suicide.

Cressida comes from a wealthy family consisting of businessman Jeffrey Bonas and former model Mary Gay Curzon, daughter of Earl Edward Curzon.

She was introduced to Harry in 2012 by the prince’s cousin, Princess Eugenie. A relationship began between Harry and Cressida, but the romance only lasted two years. It is curious that, like the future wife of Prince Megan, Cressida is also associated with show business. The girl tried herself as an actress and model, and even starred in campaigns for the famous British brands Burberry and Mulberry.

In April 2014, Cressida and Harry separated, according to official reports, by mutual consent. They parted, it seems, peacefully, since in 2018 Bonas was among the guests at the wedding of the prince and Meghan Markle.

On July 25, 2020 Bonas married investor Harry Wentworth-Stanley and in November 2022 the couple had a son, Wilbur. Cressida admitted to using the in vitro fertilization procedure because she could not get pregnant for a long time.
