Alina Gorbacheva was born on July 23, 2007 in Krasnodar. Figure skating appeared in her life by chance – a friend celebrated her birthday at the rink. So, at the age of seven, Alina began skating for the first time – by the standards of the sport of great achievements, incredibly late.

The girl was taken to the section without placing special hopes in her, but the young athlete quickly proved that she should not be written off. The first successes put Alina and her family before a choice – the real prospects, of course, were in Moscow. As a result, at the age of nine, the girl left with her coach Sofia Fedchenko. Far from mom and dad, Alina was not easy at first. They settled first in Tver, then in Moscow (Gorbachev, however, still represents the Tver region). The coach tried to support a talented student. For example, when Gorbacheva was 14, Sofia gave her a puppy because Alina had learned to make a quadruple salchow.

Gorbacheva made her debut in the Russian Junior Championship in the 2016/2017 season. Alina was not always able to show an impeccable result, but the athlete cannot be denied her diligence and perseverance. And these efforts bore fruit: in 2021, Alina won silver, and a year later – bronze, and in 2023 she became the winner of the Russian championship among juniors, thereby entering the pool of athletes promising.

On August 28, 2023, while returning from the Chkalov Arena, northwest of Moscow, where she was training, Alina disappeared. It is said that before that she had a falling out with her permanent coach Sofia Fedchenko. However, it is not known if the athlete left the arena under the effect of emotion: the argument would have taken place around 6:00 p.m. and would have left the arena at 6:54 p.m.

Recently, Alina has been training sparingly as she recovers from an injury. In early July, the figure skater injured her thigh while performing a triple Axel.

According to some reports, Alina’s mother, who also moved to Moscow, did not really believe in the sporting success of her daughter. So Gorbacheva continued to live with Fedchenko in order to attend training and not spend a lot of time on the way to the rink.

The last moment when Gorbachev was seen was filmed by surveillance cameras at the Volokolamsk highway address, possession 67 – at 7:08 p.m. Alina entered the park, but subsequent cameras did not record her.
