Preta Gil and Simony moved their followers by organizing a touching meeting at the Sírio-Libanês hospital, where Preta is recovering after surgery to remove a tumor on her intestine. The singers, both diagnosed with organ cancer, exchanged hugs and words of mutual support. The meeting was recorded and published this Tuesday (29) by the social networks of the two artists.

In the video posted on Preta’s Instagram, the singers couldn’t hold back the tears. “How much I waited for this meeting. Simonia, you are pure light, your strength gives me strength. Thank you for not letting go of my hand during this treatment. I love you. Let’s go together to receive this healing that is already come to us,” he wrote Preta. Simony also revealed a deep feeling: “I am very happy. I love you too. We have never been so close, but now it seems that you are a piece of my heart,” said the former Balão Mágico member.
“Live our life and our forgiveness,” added Simony in her post with photos of the meeting.

Simony was diagnosed with bowel cancer in August 2022 and although he completed treatment in December of that year, he had to resume treatment in April due to persistent disease activity. Preta Gil, in turn, was diagnosed in January this year and underwent surgery to remove the tumor on 16 August, remaining in hospital to recover.
With different perspectives but similar challenges, the singers have found a deep connection at a sensitive time in life. Their meeting also served as an inspiration for resilience and support in the battle against cancer.
