The hat worn by hero Johnny Depp has become one of the most recognizable details of his image. But not everyone knows that the costumers had to suffer a lot to perfect it. And all because on the set of the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”, the actor managed to lose ten hats made for his character!
They were blown away and fell over the side of the ship. Eventually, the customers’ patience ran out. Then the costumer figured out how to fix this problem. Depp’s new hats were made of rubber rather than leather so they could stay afloat and be easier to find.
