Passenger reveals driver’s reaction after running over Kayky Brito: “Shocked”

Still under investigation in Rio de Janeiro, the actor’s investment Kayky Brito continues with new developments. In his statement, the app passenger who was in the car that hit the artist, Maria Estela Limarecounted the driver’s reaction after the accident.

The dentist, who was in the back seat with his 10-year-old daughter, said the driver wasn’t going too hard. “I wasn’t accelerating, I was super relaxed. I was going at a leisurely speed,” he commented to the press as he left the police station this week.

“My daughter was very nervous. I left. Then when I saw that it was a hit and run, that there was a person on the ground, I told her not to look because she was crying. Another Uber appeared and offered me to take me home”added to G1.

“But Jones [motorista] he came and asked me how I was. I asked him if he had called for help yet. And that’s pretty much it. And, so, I gave him my number and told him if he needed it, so he could rest assured that things would clear up.”

Praise the driver’s posture

Maria Estela also praised the rider’s attitude after what happened in Barra da Tijuca. “He was careful throughout the journey and even after the accident. He was very shaken and seems to be a very calm person.”

“I stayed at a distance, I ended up not going to the place because of my daughter, who was alone with me and was nervous, but I saw that she was not moving, she was lying on the ground”, he concluded by speaking of the actor who underwent surgery and is hospitalized in Rio de Janeiro.
