Desperate, the driver who hit Kayky Brito asks for help: ‘I don’t know what to do’

In the early hours of last Saturday (02/08), the actor Kayky Brito was hit in the west area of ​​Rio de Janeiro. The driver, Diones Coelho da Silvaspoke out for the first time and revealed that he has not worked since the accident.

“I have a clear conscience. After the accident I was very shaken. Shocked by Kayky’s health, by the media coverage. I keep thinking about his little son, I’m a father too”, he told UOL. With the money he earned from working as an app driver, Diones supported his wife and two children, aged 11 and 13.

Following the accident, the car was also damaged and he said he had no money for repairs: “I can’t work [sem o carro]. To my surprise, the application blocked me, despite the pointed inquiries [até agora] a fatality. I never meant to hurt the boy.”.

He further explained: “The loss was estimated at R$10,000. The value of the deductible is R$4,000, plus the car payment of R$1,700 per month. The car is the only means of work. I bought the car to go to work and if I pay, I haven’t even driven 10,000 kilometres. I don’t even know what to do. I have two small children and this makes my psychology even worse”.
